General Manager - Trafalgar Street (around 40h/week)

 

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our vibrant team, ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience and that our shop operates smoothly.


As General Manager, you’ll:

  • Oversee both the kitchen and the front of house, ensuring seamless coordination between the two areas.

  • Lead by example, motivating and training your team to achieve their best.

  • Ensure high-quality stock management, from rotation to presentation, so our displays are always inviting and fresh.

  • Take initiative to resolve customer enquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Manage rotas, maintain operational standards, and ensure every aspect of the shop runs efficiently—even during busy periods.


The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience in a management role within the food or retail industry.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a can-do attitude.

  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

  • Barista skills and knowledge/experience in a kitchen is a plus

  • Good understanding of food safety rules (Level 2 certification preferred).

  • Allergens awareness and a knack for problem-solving in high-pressure situations.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and use of Bakery Software to manage reports, stock, and schedules.
